LABELLED

Labelled- The Film from Humainologie on Vimeo.

LABELLED is a multi-media experience by Humainologie that explores the impact of the labels we ascribe to ourselves and others on our identity and relationships. The LABELLED production includes a photography exhibit featuring 14 portraits of people who share their real stories about labels they have held and that may have defined, reduced, or wounded them. Three portraits are accompanied by short audio stories. LABELLED also features a seven-minute film by Humainologie.

Labelled questions the role of labels in our lives and, in particular, the way definition and judgment impact our identity, sense of self, and relationships.

The Labelled portrait series, audios, and film are integrated into our Labelled & Stereotypes Curricular Toolkit for students in grades 9-12. Humainologie is available to facilitate the delivery of the exhibit, audio stories, film, and selected curriculum at your venue. Please contact us at hello@humainologie.com for more information.

What's Your story?

Everyday, all the time, we are all playing key roles in our corners of the world. A moment of eye contact, a smile, an extra question like "so how are you?", a pause to hold the door open, a few words to validate how someone is feeling...there are things we can do all the time to remind each other we belong, we are valued, we are part of this great and diverse human family. Tell us about something small or big that you did, or that happened to you, where the result was a sense of connection, belonging, or the recognition of our shared humanity.
