Lauren is a wildlife biologist turned ceramicist, creating work under ‘From Tree to Sea’. With a passion for the outdoors and environmental conservation, along with a love of playing with clay since childhood, her work is often inspired by flora and fauna, bringing a playful vibe to both functional and sometimes sculptural pottery.

Leela Jacobs | Season 3
Leela is a versatile professional with an extensive career in the hair industry and fashion industry. She launched a line of leather accessories in 2021 where she debuted the leather toque, her signature design. Leela contributes to the art community through her work on the NVRLND. board, a foundation providing studio space for artists.

Tea Fannie | Season 3
Tea Fannie is a chameleonic rapper based out of Mohkinstsis. She is a community cheerleader and builder and shows her collaborative spirit on each stage she touches. Although she just started in 2019, she has already been featured in media such as Sirius XM, Xclaim Magazine, Range Magazine, Shows on CBC Radio, Virgin Radio, and has been on stages across Canada and internationally.

Tiffany Thomas | Season 3
Tiffany is a songstress, actress, performer, and playwright. Her mixed ancestry, transfemininity, and cognitive and nervous system disabilities inform her practice of creating and sharing stories, songs, and resources. Her original plays with music have been developed and performed at Lunchbox Theatre, Buddies in Bad Times, The NAC, and Tarragon Theatre.

Bea Lissima | Season 2
Bea Lissima is a performer, producer, and educator in the art form of burlesque. For the last 20 years, she has been showcasing her art on stages across Canada and the US. She strives to combine her unique identities (queer, Filipino, disabled, and intersex) into her art form.

Cece Chow | Season 2
Cece is a Moh'kinstsis (YYC) born, autistic, ADHD, disabled, Chinese trans woman, voice feminization coach, multi expressionist artist, and filmmaker. She firmly believes that positive representation is a key factor in creating equity for the trans community, especially for queer trans people of the Global Majority.

Ebony is an artist, filmmaker, and activist who is the co-founder of SURVIVANCE Collective and the Black Deaf Residency. With a passion for storytelling, redefining accessibility and exploring and developing experimental art practices, her identity as a Black, Deaf woman guides her artistic practices and passions.

Livvy Skates | Season 2
Livvy is a thrill-seeking, fun-loving, music-bumping roller skater. Her passion to roll has taken her across Canada, the US, and to London and Scotland where she was able to train with master skaters. She has taken her wheels to perform in a variety of spaces, including burlesque and fashion shows.

Mara Liao Esnard | Season 2
Mara is an educator, choreographer, and current company dancer at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks. She started her professional career in 2008 after graduating from the National Ballet School in Havana, Cuba. She is spirited to dig deeper into her identities (Asian, African, and Hispanic) and discover how they influence her artistry.

Priscilla Cherry | Season 2
Priscilla is a free-spirited Trinidadian-Canadian social artist and peer support specialist. She is a programmer with CJSW 90.9 FM and CKUA 93.7 FM, former in-game host for Calgary Surge Basketball and a board member with TEDxYYC. In 2023, she launched her live interactive talk show, ‘The Oratory’.

Dela Ruth Hini | Season 1
Dela Ruth Hini is an emerging Ghanaian-Canadian actor, writer, and all-around creative. Since filming, Dela moved away from Calgary and currently resides in London, England where she enjoys collaborating with other theatre makers and developing her skills in theatre and screen acting.

Kate W. Mak | Season 1
Kate is a Calgary-based yoga teacher, teaching at various locations throughout the city such as Junction 9 and Home Lifestyle Club. She also teaches at retreats, festivals, and events internationally. She is the founder of the Mynah School of Yoga and is also on Humainologie’s Board of Directors.

Lisa Jacobs | Season 1
Lisa is a multi-instrumentalist and music therapist. She was awarded “Bassist of the Year” at the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) and “Musician of the Year” for Country Music Alberta (CMAB) in 2024. She currently sits on the board for the Western Canadian Music Alliance.

Sinzere | Season 1
Sinzere is a rap-funk artist who is a four-time YYC Music Award winner. Her debut album, Tabula Rasa, was released in 2022 with her track "The Mission" earning acclaim as one of the best Canadian songs that year. Her award-winning music video "Ric Flair Flo” was directed by Humainologie.

Subiksha Subramani | Season 1
Subiksha is a Calgary-based content creator whose platform, QueerlySubiksha, celebrates South Asian and queer identities. She has built a community of over 120K across Instagram and TikTok. She is also the founder of Rang De Pride, Calgary’s first South Asian queer organization, and is also on Humainologie’s Board of Directors.
